Seven teenagers, twelve hours, and one idea for an improved community resulted in a lasting and very visible improvement for the city of Onaga. In one weekend, members of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Youth Group transformed an unsightly brick wall in the downtown area to a mural featuring a buffalo and sunset. “People went home on Friday and there was nothing there. They came back on Monday and were surprised. They were stopping their cars in the street to look,” said Sherri Brunkow, youth group leader. |
